Once restoration is complete, On 27 April 1991 President Suharto opened this temple.
Most of the main temple collapsed during a major earthquake in the 16th century. After-Dutch Java War, Java only briefly under British administration from 1811 to 1816. In 1811, a surveyor working for Thomas Stamford Raffles arrived at the ruins of Prambanan by chance. It is somewhat ironic that the very short period of British rule in Java led reinvention from the Borobudur and Prambanan. England, Raffles has no power in Java long enough to completely examine a lot of Prambanan. looting carried out by Dutch residents decorate their gardens with statues is priceless and local communities to take the foundation stones and their use as construction material.
